2017 is coming to a close. Do you remember what you did in a years’ time? Going through all my photos from 2017 was fun and helped jog my memory of all the great and hard things my family and I did over the year.
I thought it would be fun to share my favorite photos from this year reflect on how thankful and grateful I am for family and friends. Choosing just 10 photos was tough so there may be a few extra. 😉
1) January
I kicked of the year with the annual Rock and Roll Marathon. This year I ran the 10k with a group of friends. For some it was their furthest race and others it was a jog in the park. We all had a great time and celebrated our accomplishment with a nice bug lunch afterwards.
2) February
I can’t believe I let my kids do this! They had a grand time playing in the mud. I think I threw away all the clothes worn for this mud play 😛
3) March
This was a hard month for my son. He broke his arm during flag football practice right before the first game. That meant a season cheering on his teammates from the sidelines. This was definitely a character building experience for him. You can see in the picture he his trying to hold back tears 🙁
4) April
My sister and husband were vacationing in California so I took an impromptu road trip with the kids to meet up with them. We spent 2 days in CA enjoying time with our family.
I also launched my blog, misssueliving.com to the world. Thanks for being a friend along this journey and reading my blog!
5) May
Lego Discovery Center was the birthday destination for our new 8 year old. The whole family had a great day playing and building. And to top off the birthday excitement my son got his cast off!
6) June
Our beloved family pet, Coco was not doing well. We said goodbye to her and grieved the loss. My eldest daughter had a hard time. It’s sad to say goodbye to pets we love!
7) July
This month was our epic road travel and camping trip. We traveled through a total of 12 states in 3 weeks, visiting National Parks, friends and family along the way. This was an adventure we won’t soon forget!
8) August
This was another celebratory month. This time my eldest daughter entered double digits turning 10 years old. She was so excited to get her ears pierced!
9) September
A ladies weekend getaway was in order for this mamma. I had a great time with friends at a women’s retreat. Climbing a rock wall and riding on a zip line were the highlights for me.
10) October
With temperatures finally lowering into double digits in the desert we enjoyed a morning out to a local pumpkin patch.
11) November
My parents recently moved to Arizona and joined us for Thanksgiving dinner. This is a memory I captured in my heart as I forgot to take any pictures on Thanksgiving day-oops!
12) December
This month is half over and already we have enjoyed celebrating the holiday season. Christmas concerts, church services and recitals have been a few of this month’s activities.
Make sure to take some time as 2017 comes to a close and remember all the blessings from the year. Rejoice knowing that you made it through some difficult circumstances and came out stronger.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
