I had my budding teen artist help me create this gift guide. It was fun to have her tell me what she loves about each item and why it’s essential for creating art.

Now I also have a great list of art items I know she would love to receive as a Christmas gift. If you are struggling with trying to figure out a great gift for the artsy teen girl in your life I know this will help you out!

However, I only recommend products that I absolutely love and use in my own home or would love to use! Thank you for supporting Miss Sue Living when you shop! See my disclosure policy for more info!

Gift Ideas For Your Artsy Teen Girl

1) Posca Paint Pens

Your teen or tween artist will want to add her creativity to more than just a piece of paper. These paint pens make it easy for her to put her creation on notebooks, shoes, picture frames, mirrors and more.

2) Ohuhu Markers

These are my teen daughters new obsession! She uses these markers multi times per day to add color to her cartoon drawings. With so many colors it makes shading an easier task for her.

These are the more affordable alternative to Copic markers, and while Copic has more toned-down neutral colors, they are also much more expensive for virtually the same product. Ohuhus come with a canvas zipper-bag that can be a permanent case for the markers, while Copics only come with temporary plastic packaging.

Ohuhus are great for creating a completed drawing, calligraphy or just for coloring. There are alternatives to the brush tip, including fine tip, and chisel tip. There is also Ohuhu sketchbooks, fabric markers, gel pens and paint pens.

3) Drawing Pencil Set

Every artist needs a good set of drawing pencils. This set of graphite pencils are perfect for sketching and a full complete drawing.

4) Erasers

Different mediums call for different erasers.

5) Prismacolor Line Art Pens

After making a sketch with pencil your artist may want to make her drawing more permanent by tracing it with a pen. They can also be used for calligraphy and bullet journaling, instead of an expensive fountain pen.

6) Copic Markers

Copic markers are professional brush markers. They have a wider range of colors and tones, and ink refills can be bought so you don’t have to buy a completely new set of markers when the ink runs out. Copic markers are very expensive and should only be purchased by a committed artist who is looking to turn art into a career instead of a hobby.

7) Colored Pencils

Colored pencils are a basic art medium that can be used in many different ways. They are great to use when shading with color and there are many easy-to learn techniques that can add so much to a drawing or sketch.

8) Sketchpad / Sketch Book

Your artist can never have too many sketchpads. With daily creativity they will go through a lot of paper. There are many different types of sketchbooks and sketch pads, and depending on the type of mediums she will be using you should look for a specific type of paper.

Thicker, smoother paper is better for alcohol based markers, like Ohuhus and Copics. Rough paper is better for oil pastels or chalk.

9) Complete Artist Kit

If your teen girl is still trying to decide her favorite way to create then an art kit is a great idea. It comes colored pencils, oil pastels, watercolor cakes, Wax Crayons, Mixing trays, drawing pencils, paint brushes, sharpener, ruler, eraser, Sketch Book, Watercolor Paper Pad, Drawing Sketch Pad, Brush Set, Plastic Palette & Color Mixing Wheel. Endless opportunity for creativity.

10) Drawing Board

Artist creations can happen anywhere. This drawing board makes it easier and provides a portable space to draw.

Storage

11) Tiered Rolling Cart

Keep your teen girls art supplies organized with this 3 tier rolling cart. It can easily be stored in her room.

12) Artist Tote Bag

For on the go creation have this tote full of all her basic art supplies.

Artsy Teen Girl Gift Ideas

Art is a great hobby to encourage and nurture in your teen girl. Gift her with the supplies she needs to create and develop her artistic skills.

Which of these art supplies do you think your artsy teen girl would love to receive the most?

🍎This weekend we went to one of my favorite pla 🍎This weekend we went to one of my favorite places to conclude my birthday celebrations. @apple_annies is such a fun family activity and everyone always finds their perfect pumpkin.
.
Honestly, we debated going this year as the cost of gas is higher right now. It's a 2 hour drive for us. But my hubby knows how much I enjoy going. It's my little taste of fall in the desert.
.
So we made it happen by cutting out a few things like:
▪️packing our own lunches & snacks
▪️walking instead of taking the tractor ride
▪️only buying one pumpkin each
▪️taking a family picture in the apple orchard, but not picking apples
.
Even though we didn't do "all the things" at the orchard this time we made the best memories. It's about having fun with those we love and care about, no matter how small or simple.
