It’s Christmas Eve and instead of snuggling up with hot cocoa and watching a movie with your sweetie you are frantically wrapping all your kiddos presents.

Does this scenario sound familiar? Maybe not only on Christmas Eve but the eve before a birthday too?

This happened to me too many years in a row, but this is the year that I’m going to wrap gifts early!

Creating A Portable Gift Wrapping Station

To set yourself up for successful gift wrapping I’m going to share my best tips with you. These tips don’t only apply to the holidays.

These gift wrapping station tips are for any special occasion where you need to wrap a gift. Creating a portable wrapping station will make gift wrapping very easy and organized any time of the year.

Gather Materials

First off you will want to gather all your wrapping materials and access what you already have or need to restock.

You will want to have a variety of gift bags and wrapping paper selection on hand. Along with tissue papers and gift tags.

I love to personalize a gift with embellishments and a hand written tag. But you can also keep things simple by just adding a bow to your gift.

Wrapping Supplies List

  • Wrapping Paper
  • Gift Bags (variety of sizes)
  • Tissue Paper
  • Gift Tags
  • Bows & Ribbon
  • Tape
  • Scissors
  • Embellishments
  • Pens

Use A Basket Or Bin

Find a basket or bin that can house all your gift wrapping supplies. Make sure it’s one that is easily movable so you can bring the supplies where you will be wrapping gifts.

I store my wrapping materials in a basket that has handles on each side. It’s easy to move and then store in my bedroom closet when not in use.

I like to wrap gifts is in my living room while watching a show or in my bedroom while listening to music. Having all my gift wrapping supplies in a portable basket makes it simple and enjoyable for me to wrap gifts.

Keep It Organized With A Caddy & Wrapping Paper Storage

You can keep the inside of your basket or bin organized by using a caddy. In my caddy I have tape, gift tags, embellishments, ribbon and scissors.

Bows are kept in a resealable plastic bag.

Having the caddy also makes it less messy when my kids are wrapping gifts. They like to wrap gifts on their own now.

The caddy makes clean-up easy for myself and the kiddos as each item has a specific home to return to.

For wrapping paper I use a storage bag to keep papers from unrolling or getting crushed. This also stops toddlers and kids from unrolling your wrapping papers!

I’ve also seen wrapping paper storage bins that easily fit under a bed. There are many options when creating your own portable gift wrapping station.

Restock Your Supplies

Now that you have a portable wrapping station set up make sure to restock items as you use them.

Add needed items to your grocery shopping list or make a trip to the Dollar Store for cute and affordable gift wrapping supplies.

Having a portable wrapping station will help you keep your wrapping supplies organized and stocked. It will also make the process more enjoyable when you have all the necessary items. Happy wrapping!

🍎This weekend we went to one of my favorite pla 🍎This weekend we went to one of my favorite places to conclude my birthday celebrations. @apple_annies is such a fun family activity and everyone always finds their perfect pumpkin.
.
Honestly, we debated going this year as the cost of gas is higher right now. It's a 2 hour drive for us. But my hubby knows how much I enjoy going. It's my little taste of fall in the desert.
.
So we made it happen by cutting out a few things like:
▪️packing our own lunches & snacks
▪️walking instead of taking the tractor ride
▪️only buying one pumpkin each
▪️taking a family picture in the apple orchard, but not picking apples
.
Even though we didn't do "all the things" at the orchard this time we made the best memories. It's about having fun with those we love and care about, no matter how small or simple.
