Gluten Free Apple Crisp can satisfy your cravings for homemade baked goods with half the effort of making an apple pie.
I love to bake and make apple pie. But sometimes when I want an apple pie I don’t have the time to make one. Apple crisp comes to the rescue. It has all the flavor of my beloved apple pie but only takes half the time to make.
One thing I like about this recipe is that it is gluten free. I can serve it to guests without worrying about food allergies or food intolerances. Plus even though it is a gluten free recipe the taste is not compromised!
Why Apple Crisp Takes Less Time to Make
The number one reason apple crisp is quicker to make is because you’re not making a double pie crust recipe. You also only need one bowl and one baking dish. Less mess to clean up!
Apple Choice Matters
The apples you choose to bake with does matter. You don’t want mushy apples. My top apple choices are Honeycrisp, Fuji or Granny Smith. These apples bake tender but not mushy.
