Don’t you just love a cute wreath?! And then when you make it mini it’s just that much cuter!

I made a few of these DIY mini wreaths last year to attach to some gift baskets. This year I thought it would be even better to personalize the mini wreath with a name tag.

These are perfect to dress up a gift or to use as a table place setting. You can even use them for simple home decor.

Follow the tutorial below to make your own DIY mini wreath.

The Supply List

You can find all the supplies at your local Dollar Tree store or use the links to get the items from Amazon.

  • Wired garland ties
  • Wooden chalkboard tags
  • Chalk marker
  • Mini Christmas bows (I found mine at Walmart)

How To Make The DIY Mini Wreath

Step 1. You will need 1 garland tie and one bow.

Step 2. Start by bringing both ends of the garland tie together to form a circle.

Step 3. Twist the two ends together.

Step 4. To make your simple wreath pretty attach a premade bow of your choice.

Personalize The Mini Wreath With A Chalkboard Tag

To use this mini wreath as a gift tag or place holder add a chalkboard tag.

Write on your chalkboard tag and let dry.

Use twine or string and attach the chalkboard tag to the mini wreath.

From here you can cut off any excess string if you will be using the mini wreath as a place setting.

If you plan to use the DIY mini wreath as a gift tag leave the excess string to use and attach to your gift.

Boxwood DIY Mini Wreaths

Another version of these DIY mini wreaths can be made with faux boxwood wired garland.

To make the boxwood mini wreaths you will need:

  • Boxwood wired garland
  • Wooden chalkboard tags
  • Chalk marker
  • Mini Christmas bows (I found mine at Walmart)
  • cup for measuring

Step 1. Wrap garland around your cup twice (Use a cup with a 2-3 inch circumference).

Leave a 1/2 an inch extra garland for wrapping. Cut garland.

Step 2. Remove garland from cup and using the extra garland wrap around to secure mini wreath.

Step 3. Write on your chalkboard tag and let dry.

Step 4. Use twine or string and attach the chalkboard tag to the mini wreath.

From here you can cut off any excess string if you will be using the mini wreath as a place setting.

If you plan to use the DIY mini wreath as a gift tag leave the excess string to use and attach to your gift.

Step 5. Add bow of your choice to boxwood mini wreath.

🍎This weekend we went to one of my favorite pla 🍎This weekend we went to one of my favorite places to conclude my birthday celebrations. @apple_annies is such a fun family activity and everyone always finds their perfect pumpkin.
.
Honestly, we debated going this year as the cost of gas is higher right now. It's a 2 hour drive for us. But my hubby knows how much I enjoy going. It's my little taste of fall in the desert.
.
So we made it happen by cutting out a few things like:
▪️packing our own lunches & snacks
▪️walking instead of taking the tractor ride
▪️only buying one pumpkin each
▪️taking a family picture in the apple orchard, but not picking apples
.
Even though we didn't do "all the things" at the orchard this time we made the best memories. It's about having fun with those we love and care about, no matter how small or simple.
