Fresh fruit is so delicious. But sometimes we don’t eat it quickly enough. This is when I like to freeze the ripe fruit to use in a smoothie. It may be too ripe to eat on its own but would be perfect to add to a smoothie.

Bananas seem to ripen especially quickly. When they start to get a few to many brown spots I like to freeze them.

How To Freeze Pineapple And Bananas

For amazing taste try freezing your own fresh pineapple. During the summer a whole pineapple can cost you less than $1.00!

Pineapple

  1. Peel and core your pineapple then cut into 1 inch chunks.
  2. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper
  3. Place pineapple chunks onto lined cookie sheet. Don’t let pieces touch.
  4. Freeze for 24 hours
  5. Transfer frozen chunks into a freezer safe container or resealable bag.

Banana

  1. Peel spotty bananas.
  2. Break or cut banana into 4 pieces. ( Remember that 4 pieces = a whole banana)
  3. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Place banana chunks on lined cookie sheet. Don’t let pieces touch.
  5. Freeze for 1 hour or until completely frozen.
  6. Transfer frozen chunks into a freezer safe container or resealable bag.

🍎This weekend we went to one of my favorite pla 🍎This weekend we went to one of my favorite places to conclude my birthday celebrations. @apple_annies is such a fun family activity and everyone always finds their perfect pumpkin.
.
Honestly, we debated going this year as the cost of gas is higher right now. It's a 2 hour drive for us. But my hubby knows how much I enjoy going. It's my little taste of fall in the desert.
.
So we made it happen by cutting out a few things like:
▪️packing our own lunches & snacks
▪️walking instead of taking the tractor ride
▪️only buying one pumpkin each
▪️taking a family picture in the apple orchard, but not picking apples
.
Even though we didn't do "all the things" at the orchard this time we made the best memories. It's about having fun with those we love and care about, no matter how small or simple.
